🔥 Be Ready, Be Faithful, Be Prepared 🔥
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” – Matthew 25:13 (KJV)
Matthew Chapter 25 continues the end-time teaching from the previous chapter. However, the focus shifts from signs to responsibility. Jesus emphasizes readiness, faithful stewardship, and final accountability.
The chapter is built around three parables. Each one reveals a different aspect of preparation for His return. The message is consistent: being ready is not passive—it requires action, awareness, and commitment.
The first parable describes ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom. Five are wise and prepared with oil, while five are foolish and unprepared. When the bridegroom arrives, only the prepared enter. The door is then shut. This illustrates the importance of spiritual readiness that cannot be borrowed or delayed.
The second parable focuses on stewardship. Servants are entrusted with talents, or resources, according to their ability. Two servants invest and multiply what they receive, while one hides his talent out of fear. The master rewards faithfulness and condemns neglect. This teaches that what God gives must be used, not ignored.
The final section describes the judgment of the nations. Jesus separates people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The distinction is based on how they responded to the needs of others. Acts of compassion reveal genuine faith, while indifference exposes a lack of it.
Matthew 25 makes one thing clear. Preparation is demonstrated through action. Faith is visible in how a person lives, serves, and responds.
