📖 Bible Passage (KJV) – Matthew 13:47-50
⁴⁷ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
⁴⁸ Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
⁴⁹ So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
⁵⁰ And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
✨ All Summed Up
The Dragnet Parable, found in Matthew 13:47-50, teaches about the final judgment and the separation of the righteous and the wicked. The kingdom of heaven is likened to a net cast into the sea, gathering all kinds of fish. When the net is full, the good fish are kept, and the bad are discarded. This reflects how, at the end of time, the angels will separate the righteous from the wicked. The wicked will be cast into the furnace of fire, where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. The parable reminds us that while everyone is called, only those who live according to God’s truth will be saved.
⚡Key Takeaway
- Judgment is inevitable: There will come a time when all will be separated.
- Faithful living matters: Only those who remain faithful to God’s word will be chosen.
- God’s call is universal: All are invited to respond, but only the righteous will be gathered.
- Separation of the wicked: Those who reject God’s truth will face eternal punishment.
